Tonight was the last stroke of a rusted blade. A blade that sliced America in half. Now it is time for us to heal as a nation. Many people point to the Gettysburg address or the civil rights act as the end of racism in America. Fact is it will never end. However the wound is healing. Tonight Barack Obama Squeezed puss from an infected wound. While their is some infection left, we have all been left a little lighter, a little bit better. As a nation our wounds are healing. One thing I would like to make clear to all people is that African Americans did not win this election tonight, all Americans won. Black people make up 15% of the population, and latino's 16%. A gap between races has been closed. The final chapter has been written, but the book has not yet been published. We are all about to witness hsitory. The next four to eight years will be a test of our judgment as a society. I hope we passed the test. I know we passed the test.
